Last month, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Pad Pro in China, featuring a large display and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. While it was anticipated that this tablet would be launched globally as the POCO Pad, Xiaomi has surprised everyone by releasing the Redmi Pad Pro in the European market instead.
The tablet was announced on the brand’s EU & UK websites where it is currently available to book and purchase with early bird offers. Before delving into the pricing, let’s take a look at what the tablet has to offer.
Redmi Pad Pro specs:
The Redmi Pad Pro offers a large 12.1-inch LCD display, offering a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with 249ppi pixel density. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 83.6% and comes with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that goes as low as 30Hz. The panel offers a contrast ratio of 1500:1 offering around 68.7 billion colors with a peak brightness of 600 nits. It also offers 4096 brightness levels, DC dimming, and support for Dolby Vision. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
On the inside, the tablet has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz. It has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage in two configurations: 6GB+128GB / 8GB+256GB. There is also an option to expand storage via a MicroSD card.
One of the key attractions of the tablet is the large 10,000mAh which is coupled with 33W fast charging. For audio, it has a quad-speaker with Dolby Atmos and dual microphones. As for software, it uses the Android-14-based HyperOS operating system.
Both the front and back sides of the tablet feature an 8MP camera sensor. For connectivity, the tablet offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 that supports AAC/SBC/aptX/aptX-HD/aptX-adaptive codecs, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The listings do not mention anything about cellular connectivity. The tablet has a metal unibody finish weighing 571 grams.

In the UK, the tablet is currently available with a £20 discount as an early bird offer, while Eurozone customers can also get a bunch of perks and freebies by ordering the tablet between May 21 to June 4. Customers will get three colors to choose from: Graphite Grey. Mint Green and Ocean Blue.
